AI Visual Inspection App Developer

About the role

Freelance build of a local, offline AI visual inspection app for aerospace components. It uses an industrial camera, compares images to approved references, and must not send inspection data to the cloud.

What you'll do

• Convert an existing Lovable mockup into a fully functional local application.
• Integrate an industrial camera for image capture.
• Develop image processing and AI capabilities to identify assembly discrepancies.
• Compare captured images against approved reference images and return PASS / FAIL / REVIEW.
• Let users manage reference images, inspection criteria, and multiple component views.
• Store images and inspection records locally and keep the app fully offline.

Requirements

• The application must run on a dedicated local computer without cloud services or external AI APIs.
• Inspection images and data must never be automatically transmitted outside the computer.
• Preferred skills include Python, OpenCV, computer vision, PyTorch or ONNX, and local desktop development.
• Industrial camera integration, such as Basler or similar, is preferred.
• Share similar computer vision or industrial inspection work, a technical approach, timeline, and project cost.
