About the role

Build a long-term app where small businesses upload PDF invoices and AI extracts vendor, dates, line items, tax, and total for review.

What you'll do

• Build a Next.js frontend, Python/FastAPI backend, and PostgreSQL app for invoice upload.
• Extract vendor, invoice number, dates, line items, tax, and total from PDFs, including scanned PDFs via OCR.
• Show the invoice beside editable extracted fields and flag missing fields, bad totals, and duplicates.
• Export approved invoices to CSV and deploy the MVP with setup documentation.

• Include login and separate data for each business.
• Support scanned PDFs with OCR.
• Deliver setup documentation with the MVP.
