About the role

Maxon AI Results is hiring a technical specialist to build, test, launch, and support an AI receptionist for small and midsize companies. The role sets up the receptionist for Maxon first, then adapts it for customers, including call flows, calendars, and follow-up.

What you'll do

• Recommend and configure appropriate AI voice receptionist and telephony tools.
• Build call flows for greeting callers, answering approved questions, capturing contact details, routing calls, taking messages, and scheduling appointments.
• Connect the receptionist to calendars, CRM systems, email, forms, and automation tools as needed.
• Configure missed-call responses, follow-up messages, appointment confirmations, and reminders.
• Test realistic call scenarios, identify failures, and improve the caller experience.
• Set up reporting so we can track call volume, missed calls, appointments, lead details, and system issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems after launch; explain problems and resolutions in plain language.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining AI voice agents, virtual receptionists, or comparable production phone systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with telephony or contact-center platforms and integrations.
• Experience connecting systems through APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, or native integrations.
• Experience working with calendars, CRMs, and appointment-booking workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot call quality, routing, transcription, scheduling, and integration problems.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to explain technical decisions clearly to a nontechnical owner.
• Excellent documentation habits and dependable follow-through.
